Galaxy grand quattro GPS not locking

Hi everyone, i have a Galaxy grand quattro (i 8552). My problem is that on switching on GPS it keeps searching for location. It will lock on at times but then almost immediately loses it and starts searching again. Have tried a factory reset but the problem hasn't been solved.

Please suggest what to do

Are you on any active data plan?if you are using wifi then it will not lock.

There are very few things you can do to make a GPS signal stronger. It ultimately depends on a device's hardware. And devices without GLONASS take really long time to lock to satellites. The American GPS is pretty worthless in India IMHO.
If you are rooted then use apps like Fasterfix to change the region to India, if it's already not set. And then download GPS Status app, and change the Assisted GPS data download interval from default of 24 hours to something like 6 hours. More AGPS data being pushed/downloaded, chances are higher of a stable lock. But again don't expect any wonders, it might be faster than before, but that's all.
