I just pick only one name, may be two! I create cool cartoon characters with my  copy and pencil, but not in my PC( and I have no scanner)!!
Only some days ago I found Macromedia Flash MX with a all-new look, which has options to draw images with smooth curves. I found it quite helpful for some days, but don't want to use it further. Why, if you have Adobe Photoshop or Macromedia Fireworks, why do you need to use a software that's not actually for drawing still images? It is like using simple text documents into Microsoft Word XP !!
Guys, please advise me! What software is the best for this job? For your info, I have Adobe Photoshop 6.0 and Adobe ImageReady and Macromedia Fireworks. Now one thing- please don't say that you could do this merely with Paint! :D You could, but I couldn't.[/quote]

I would recommend you to stick with photoshop only If you want to make still cartoons...

But if you want to go into animating those then I recommend Both Photoshop and Macromedia... It's a very lethal combination....
