Recently, an unfinished update caused my Windows 10 corrupted. I couldn't repair it by any means. Then I tried to install it on the same partition. Sadly that too didn't work ( bad sector ? ).
Now I had it as a dual boot and Ubuntu is working fine. For now, I simply miss Windows, that's all. All is good.
But for some bill payments online, I don't trust Linux enough. I had issues in the past with those govt e-pay websites. So I will have to replace Windows 10 somehow.
Everyone says to format the Windows partition and reinstall Windows 10 on it. Fine, but will it break the partition table ? Will I lose Ubuntu as well ?
I don't want that to happen. What I want to ask is that can I simply format that MBR Windows Partition ? Will it destroy other partitions ? Any help will be great.
