Hi guys ..

Well really a messy question.. I am using XP to connect to net using mobile phone (GSM) and bluetooth.

After lotsa research and findings i m now comfortable with bluetooth things..
but as you know default com port speed on windows is 9600 bits per sec and that is too slow. so I thought it to change for my bluetooth mode to higher one !

but first let me tell few about bluetooth dialup networking..

To run bluetooth under windows u need bluetooth stack server and few other things..
So popular one to handle are bluesoleil and widcomm

blue soleil don't work with every dongle.. so i have widcomm software. I has created a bluetooth modem that is set on COM port 6 . But while lookinf for port under "device manger" there is no COM port 6 .. ther is 7 , 5 etc.. but no 6. Now how do I change ?

Update ..

When looking for "max port speed" under modem properties. it is having max value available only 115kbps ..

NOw .. going through
1. Network Connection--> connection's property--> configure selected modem .
I can get option to set it higher values above 115kbps but going through
2. Contol panel--> phone and modem--> modem -> properites

I only get optoin to set it at max of 115kbps ..

now when it connects it show 230 kbps (as i had set up it in option 1. ) ..
So hw can i can set baud rate between phone and PC ?
