there is nothing called SLI enabled GPU. all post geforce 7xxx series cards can be connected in SLI. any GPU should work fine on you rmotherboard.

considering your processor, 8800gt would be a bit too much. you should consider 9600gt, it would be a better deal.

it will run for sure.

i dont think 1gb 8800gt, is a good idea. for that money, you can get 8800gts, maybe even 9800gtx.

I think anything below 8600gt(ie 8500gt etc) dont support SLI.Anyway dont buy 8800 gt 1 gb better go for 8800gt 512 MB.
8800gt>radeon 3870>9600gt>3850.

Anything above 3850 may be bottlenecked by ur cpu depending upon the game of course & the resolution u intend to run it.But 8800gt can be futureproof(u can sli when u buy a new mobo).

I would have understood even if you would have written just once. I've seen people posting twice due to connection problems, but thrice???

Anyways, good point, didn't think of it before although I had an idea.

.

9600GT comes in between 3870 and 8800gt

Sorry about that.Had some connection prob as u guessed rightly.

@ionicsachin
AFAIK,in most games 3870 beats 9600gt.(only nfs pro street etc,where ati cards dont fare well).

.....no ...3870 beats 9600gt only in a very few games(and that too marginal)....i ve googled a lot before buying it...read some online reviews...

Check this....when AA/AF are off...most of the times 3870 is faster....but when u on AA/AF 3870 brings it down...9600GT becomes faster.....

Agree with u on that.Have also read that when AA/AF is on,the fps decreased considerably since it doesnt have a dedicated hardware for that purpose.But,I wouldn't enable AA if the resolution is very high cause due to supersampling the quality is already high.
