Dell XPS15 (M1530) RAM Upgrade Query

Right off the assembly line
I have a Dell XPS15, bought in 2008. It currently runs a Core2Duo 2.4Ghz processor and 2GB of DDR2, 667Mhz RAM. I want to upgrade the RAM and wanted to know if along with the RAM capacity I can also get a faster RAM, i.e., maybe a 800Mhz or 1066Mhz. Will my system support that? Or will I have to be content with a 667Mhz upgrade? :-(

you can put 800 or more FSB rams, but they will work at speed only which is optimal as per the processor and motherboard. if it is 667 MHz supported then they will run at lower speeds. also 800 FSB RAMs are cheaper and readily available than 667 FSB

which C2D processor is on the lappy. You can run CPU-Z and get info about your system and motherboard
