Dell Venue 8 Issue

I bought a dell venue 8 (2013 model) 2 days back. There is a touch screen issue from day 1. The touch screen stops responding frequently. The only way out is either pressing power button to sleep and again pressing it to come back. Some times a very long press on home works but the touch screen stops responding almost every minute. If I go to sleep using power button and wake up the issue will not return for 15 to 20 minutes. This is very random so I dont know how I can explain the issue to service center.

Does anybody own this table or have an idea an issue? There are some people complaining about the issue online but no solutions provided.

Yes. I bought it from amazon. Talked to them and they are taking it back. Now to find another model again. I wanted a 8 inch android tablet and the price was very good. Don't want to try a dell venue again though it seems only some pieces seem to be affected by this problem. Only other option seems to be the flipkart one for Rs8999 but it is new and there are not many reviews.

get nexus 7 instead
dell venue is only good if you are buying the windows 8.1 pro tablet models
ipads are the safest buys if you can extend

Nexus 7 is almost 7K more than my initial budget (only 32gb version is available at 17K) but once budget crosses 10K, only Nexus makes sense.
One of the reasons I picked up dell venue 8 is for the 8 inch screen. My earlier 7 inch screen felt cramped and I thought venue 8 was just right size for me when I used it for 2,3 days before returning. Though I am not sure whether the feeling is due to extra inch or better display resolution (1280x800 on venue 8 vs 1024x600 on the 7 inch tablet). Do you guys think for a given resolution extra inch makes any difference?
