The fact that the system date and time are getting reset indicates that there could be a problem either with the CMOS battery or the motherboard. But, the chances of the motherboard failing are lesser compared to the chances of the CMOS battery failing. But before coming to that conclusion, I just needed to know, when you say the system time is being reset, are you referring to the time in windows? Also, when you get the beeps, do you get any message indicating that there is a battery failure and defaults are being loaded? Kindly reply and let us know.
