Hi,
I use a MSI K8MM-V board [model MS 7142] with Via chipset [K8MM800-CE]. The Processor is Athlon 2800+ 64 bit operating on 1800MHz. The memory module is King's 512MB 400 FSB (hynnix).
The BIOS details are as follows:
Brand: Phoenix Technologies Ltd; Version: 6.00 PG; Date: 01/18/2006.
All these infos I obtained consulting the MB manual and a free tool named cpu-z.

Now when I try to set the clock speed of the RAM the highest that the BIOS setup offers is 200 MHz. If I keep the option in Auto still it shows 200MHz frequency. Though the memory module is of 400FSB. So why can't I make it operate at a higher frequency? Am i getting the full benifit of 400 FSB RAM? If not how can it be obtained?
I am not very knowledgeble regarding HW or BIOS, so please help.
Thank you.
