Hey Guys,

There is this wierd problem, Let me get into the specifics first:

Processor: Intel 1st Gen. Core i7-920 (running on stock 2.66 Ghz, no OC done ever)
Motherboard: MSi x58 (lga 1366) pro-E
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 3x4GB (Triple Channel Kit)
PSU: Tagan 1100BZ (1100W)
GPU: MSi N580GTX Twin Frozr-II (1.5GB) with 2xDVI Ports on the GPU
Monitor: Samsung 23" mode: 2233SW
OS: *ahem* version of Win 7 x64 Ultimate

Now, The problem:

1.) (at times) The CPU Seems to be running fine, but the Monitor LED blinks,
It will start fine if I RESET the Battery and Clear the CMOS,

but,

2.) Sometimes even this does not Help, so I have to remove all 3 RAM Sticks and re-insert it again and repeat Step-1 as well and then the PC Boots up fine.

Also,

3.) All nVIDIA Drivers are up-to-date and while playing any game or just surfing, it would all of a sudden restart on me (or worse), just keep on blinking with the CPU Running.

4.) CPU & GPU Temps are normal, Also re-seated the GPU.
-----------------------------------

Steps taken by me:

a.) Interchanged the end points of the DVI Display cable,
b.) Updated GPU Drivers,

Can you get to safe mode on your PC and see if it is going to blink again?
Try to reinstall your video card drivers, it might be that your video card is forcing some refresh rate which your monitor is not capable running.

Are you getting any notification that the display drivers have stopped and recovered?

^^

Finally... thanks for a response to my query.

Well, Yesterday

1.) I un-plugged everything and re-plugged the wires, connectors,

2.) Re-seated the GPU (in the same slot, though I have another spare PCi-E slot though),

3.) Re-seated the Battery,

4.) Cleared the CMOS (using the onboard CMOS Button on my MSI x58 Pro-E mobo),

5.) Replugged the HDDs,

6.) Replugged the modular PSU connectors, same with the 3x4GB RAM Sticks.

Now, the ugly part....

a.) Switched ON the PC, it started up fine, Yay !!
b.) As I hd cleared CMOS, went to BIOS and resetted the DATE/TIME, checked the RAM Values whether it was getting detected correctly, it did...Yay Yay !!

c.) Booted safely into Win 7 OS and then onto the desktop,
d.) Was able to browse the net and watch youtube vids (as I thought that the Mayhem has been over),

e1.) Started the PC Game: GRID 2 (Legal version via my STEAM Application),
e2.) As I was 5 mins into the game, playing smoothly, the Game started to hang,
e3.) As of now, no 'awkward' spikes in GPU Temp or GPU frame rate.

f.) Then all of a sudden the game hanged (I thought it was just a game),

g.) I tried switching back to desktop (with help of the WINDOWS Key), but the entire system just FROZE .. Yay Yay Feeling got puffd'UP in flames..lolzz

h.) Tried going to the Task manager by the Ctrl+Alt+Del life saver combo..lol..

i.) Task manager came up just 1/3rd (Horizontally, ofcourse) the rest 2/3 of the screen was BLACK !!

j.) I tried HARD RESETTING and RESTARTING the PC,

Now...

The Only thing my PC does is.... Tries to wake up/Start I mean... then after 2-3secs Off then tries to start up all by itself again.. and looks like it has been stuck in a loop of Start up and shut down (as if something has been stuck) then I have to manually switch OFF the PSU to put it to sleep.

Any ideas or alternate troubleshooting tips..?
