This ****ing issue is simply driving me nuts. There's a website called *safelinking.net and that website can't be opened from my X, no matter what I do. I have my nephew's Zen Phone 5 for some days, and the shocking thing is the same website can be opened with that phone, connected to same router of course. I have tried several browsers on my X, nothing! Tried with mobile data and WiFi both, still nothing!

Kindly tell me what the **** is wrong with the X.

maybe the hosts file has safelinking.net added as 127.0.0.1
have you rooted your phone? edit the hosts file and remove safelinking from it.

Course I'm rooted. How to edit hosts file, please do tell?
I have AdAway installed, which messes with hosts file that much I know, could that be the reason?

PS: Yes, AdAway is the reason. Now I need to find a way to disable safelinking from it.

Update: Simply adding safelinking.net under Whitelist works, but I don't like this. It is supposed to block ads, why it's messing up with websites?

Maybe safelinking is categorised as an add supported site in AdAway database. hence the reason it being blocked.
