Call/SMS blocker with no notification

Which is a good call/SMS blocker which doesn't give annoying notifications right after blocking a call or message?

Install google dialer (Phone – Android Apps on Google Play), go to 3 dots menu on top right corner, settings, call blocking. This is already present in gapps packages/custom roms.

Yes TrueCaller allows you to block spam unwanted calls

If you are using dual sim then truecaller will block it only for the number with which it is registered+the annoying blocked notifications are always there.

Just saw the link now, tried other Google apps before. Anyways this one is not compatible with the phones. Which gapps package are you talking about?

The person in whose phone I needed to get this done is saying that this is too complex. So, back on a hunt for an app again.

Ha ha told him the same. He just wants a simple apk to do the job. Every now and then he messes up the phone and comes to me to format or for retrieving data.

They do notify you unfortunately.

This is an old thread, not too sure if it's relevant now but as I see recent activity I am posting here.

I am not sure what exactly you mean by notification but I am using Calls Blacklist - Call Blocker. Which just silently blocks call (Number) and logs the record silently in its log file. It does not pop up any message or so. A number just appears at the top right of the app icon indicating call blocked but no popup or sound at all.

Refer this thread on this forum for the link and related discussion. See if it works for you.

Have tried that brother but it too gives you a notification of the call/text blocked. So far I haven't been able to find an app which doesn't bug a user after blocking a call/text. I miss Symbian OS so much.
