shortlisted two laptops
Lenovo Ideapad Y500 (59-346619) Laptop (3rd Gen Ci7/ 8GB/ 1TB/ Win8/ 2GB Graph) vs Samsung NP550P5C-S05IN Laptop (3rd Gen Ci7/ 8GB/ 1TB/ Win8/ 2GB Graph): Compare Computers: Flipkart.com
but since I have a budget of about 60k I am not able to find y500 in that range rather local dealers are giving a price of 68 to 70k for y500 .
Since tkin has suggested me that y500 is available for about 63 in local dealers so I am asking Delhi people if it is available in this range else I have no other option than going for so5in. Any other laptop similar to these laptop config will be a very helpful suggestion guys. Please help out guys.

Lenovo y500 will be your best bet. You can get it at 63k. My friend got a 55900 priced lappy at only 52500. Though he bought it from a small town.

I heard those issues with throttling were resolved ...and yeah i guess compared to y500 samsung will heat more bcoz it has a powerful quad core higher clockd and taking 45w of power.

Back to school!!
If you can spare 63k, get Lenovo Y500, pure VFM laptop, note: a few models may have touchpad issues(old stock), but lenovo so far had fixed them promptly.
