1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Audio production, Video editing & graphics work over After FX, Vegas, Avid Media Composer, ProTools, FlStudio. A stable system that shouldn't be noisy. With easy overclock and declock options so I could switch between them quickly.
2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 1.3 lac I can extend a bit. Still try to keep it tight
3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:
Yes, when working with video I wish to overclock but declock wwhen working with audio.
4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:
Windows 7 64bit
5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans:
2 250gb ssds for OS and Project files. 2tb hdd for storage.
6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans:
No
7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:
Keyboard Mouse
8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:
In a week
9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:
Yes
10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans:
Bhilai, Chhattisgarh.
11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I did some digging and thinking of this config.

Processor- i7 5820k
Motherboard - Gigabyte x99 UD4
Ram- Kingston HyperX 2x8gb Or Gskill Ripjaws
Gpu - Asus Strix Gtx 970
Ssd- Samsung evo 5 250gb x2
Hdd- Wd green 1tb x2
Psu - Corsair Rm750
Case - Corsair 450D
cpu cooler - Cooler Master seidon 120v or Corsair H80i
Ups - APC BR1100
I have no skill in overclocking so please suggest me right Ram & psu also suggest for improvements.

1) Try and upgrade the RAM to 32 gigs. Editing HD video eats up loads of RAM.

2) Check whether your applications support OpenCL (supported by AMD GPUs) or CUDA (supported by NVidia GPUs) acceleration.

Otherwise, your config looks pretty good.

Hi InfyProg,

If you are planning to use heavy software's like OpenCL, CUDA and etc., then go with the latest GPU with overclocking feature. According to my opinion, no need to go for two SSDs in the PC. The SSD will improve loading times, but not much else. It is flash memory and access information much faster as there are no moving parts such as the drive head that reads a disk. As for other performance, you should not see a significant impact in using SSD except for boot-ups.

I have no idea about it but even a 750ti made my work smooth so I thought 970ti will be good. Lemedig more.

One for OS & one is for project file.
SSDs are helpful when using heavy files out of mark3, these are pretty heavy 90mbps. Also when using plugins like kontact where samples are huge.
It helps focusing over creativity when your system doesn't stutter or freeze.

I checked on After Effects rely heavily on GPU both CUDA & OpeGl. Pro Premier also accelerates through mercury playback engine.
No info on Media Composer but it uses gpu acceleration. Cinema 4d uses dx11.

What card will you suggest?

Well, the higher the GPU, the more compute cores it has and theoretically higher performance. However, you also need to consider the performance to cost ratio. A GTX 970 costs 10k more than a GTX 960 but may not give a huge improvement in performance in your applications to justify the extra cost. You should check out the Adobe forums to see what others are using.

Why not use Quadro / Firepro??

if you are not going for gaming, then these cards will help you, and balance out the high cost in sometime.

also, these can stand for themselves in gaming too.
