Building a home - specific queries

I am building a home. Actually it is a partially constructed structure that I bought and now am in the process of finishing. Work is currently ongoing.

I have 2 floors - ground and first. I have placed 2 interconnected water tanks of 1,000 litres each above the RCC roof.

My question here is are there any reliable water level meters available for the overhead tanks so that a person in the ground floor kitchen can easily ascertain if there is sufficient water stored without climbing all the way up to the roof top?

I have seen some water level meters on eBay with most of them coming with automatic water levellers which I actually do not want. I would rather know how many days does a tankful of water last and fill up exactly needed amount when it is convenient to me (depending on weather/power situations).

Has anyone here have any experience installing/using such kind of meters? Here are some examples:

Fully Automatic Water Level Controller Indicator FOR Tank | eBay

"Fully Automatic Water Level Controller Indicator FOR Tank AND Sump" | eBay

Water Level Indicator Seven Level Indication Water Overflow Controlled Buzzer | eBay

I like the design of third one. It seems to connect using networking cable.
