Browsing / Movie / Everyday LAptop for < 20K Possible?

Need to get a laptop for my brother tomorrow. basically he uses for internet banking, excel, browsing and movies.

1) What is your budget? (INR or USD)
A) 25,000 - 30,000

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?

Thin and Light; 12" - 14" screen
OR
Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen

3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?
Browsing / Movies

5) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eying for ?
Atleast 3-4 gig ram

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like: Dell, Lenovo, ASUS
b. Dislike: HP

6) Anything else you would like to say?

Screen resolution ( 768p (HD)or greater)
Battery back up ( normal (3-4hrs) )
Purchase place ( Online flipkart, Amazon )

Get a chrome book for these requirements.

Initially I thought Chromebook was a good choice, but realizer spending a little more will be good in the longer run. so I ordered this Dell Vostro 14 3445 Notebook (APU Quad Core A6/ 4GB/ 500GB/ Win8.1/ 2GB Graph)

Should be okay. My office uses similar dell laptops (i5 model) and im happy with it.

Not a bad choice for these activities but do remember that now all the android apps are going to be officially supported on chromebooks
