BenQ DVD Rom autoplay problem !!

My BenQ DVD rom is not autoplaying Model 1650T. Autoplay is enabled in my computer.The problem is the drive is mounting the media but after that nothing happens.But if I open my computer or Windows Explorer The DVD drive starts autoplaying.(I dnt have to click on the dvd drive...just opening My computer initiates autoplay.)
The drive is working perfectly otherwise.Its very silent nd fast.There is absolutely no problem otherwise.
Any solution guys?!!!!.......
Plz dont ask me to upgrade firmware...thts too risky

have you used any soft tweaks like tweakUI /Xp manager /System mechanic etc to disable the Autoplay feature ???? if not then install TweakUI for XP ...in TweakUI go to my computer->autoplay->Types and see if Enable Autoplay for cd/dvd drives is disabled or not...if it is then just enable it...logoff/login..and ur autoplay will work .......

Problem solved but in a weired way
Previously DVD ROm was configuired as secondery master nd CD Writer as sec slave.Now the rom is configuired as slave nd the problem is gone.I dont know why..
Can anybody explain?
