I have a Philips mini-HiFi music system at home that my dad purchased almost 18 years ago. I've shared a representative image of the same below. It's basically a CD and cassette player with an AUX-in available. The sound is REALLY good, even by today's standard. Which is the only reason I'm not discarding it.

I want to play songs via AUX cable but the system is not supporting it. The AUX cable that I use to play songs in my car, TV, home theatre etc. is not supported by this device. There's a very tiny sound of the song that I can detect if I increase the volume significantly.

Now here's I need your help guys. Am I missing something? Has AUX cable specifications changed over the year? Is there a different type of AUX cable that I could by to make it work? Help me guys, if you know which specific cable will help can you please share its Amazon or Flipkart link?

(Product image of the system I have: taken from the web)
