Automatic or Manual downloading

I am using Windows XP Home SP2 Edition. I would like to know what are the new updates are available, from Microsoft, after this Edition. Moreover, Is there any way to do updation of this OS automatically when we are online OR maual downloading is better? How to do it?

there has been a more stable release windows xp media center edition which a 2 CD pack. xp home sp2 is good. u could go to their home page and gt the updates then and there or use the automatic updates feature to get them. updates can be done automaticallym but not the OS itself...

Do they give a free trial CD on the media center edition ?

the best would be to go for
Autopatcher as thay will scan ur system and modify the left componenets only
and sp2 is the latest

man i am confuse... as the original author asked about updateing the OS... not Upgradeing it... but here legolas is asking him to upgrade.... i just told him an easyer way of updateing his OS.....

& nope there isnt any Free Trial CD of windows XP media center....

dont go for autopatcher jun edition 2005.
it has loads of bugs and ur pc will crash more than what u whud have ever seen,
neowin admits to some faults itself.
so dont go for autopatcher.
