Hi guys.......

I have intel Original DG965RY motherboard..though I am satisfied with its performance but not satisfied with its updradebility espicially in case of processor...it just support upto C2D E6700..any processor upto this is not available in market..that means if I want to upgrade my processor from P-D to C2D Quad..I have to change my motherboard...whereas any low range motherboard from Asus or other third-party brand can easlily support upto quad processor..by chance,if not then just upgrading bios it can easliy support...so next time I will definitely not take Intel Original Motherboard in pressure of any shop..but....I am little bit confused abt the brands as there r many brands....out of these ASUS or MSI or GIGABYTE r mainly popular...

So My question is who is the best brand out of ASUS,MSI,GIGABYTE & ANY Others available in market in respect of product quality, customer support for:
1.Motherboard
2.Graphics Card

Next time I want to take
1.Processor Core i7 or higher
2.Intel chipset motherboard(Brand that u guys suggest)
3.DriectX11 graphics Card(Brand that u guys suggest)

Bond, Desi Bond!
asus msi and gigabyte are the top brands and it's difficult to pick the leader. based on chipset, we have a brand to select. for example, P45 means MSI. P45 crossfire means ASUS, X58 means gigabyte.

for core i7, I pick gigabyte. msi mobos are having bios issues right now and are not advisable to buy.

for graphics card, there are lot of better brands like palit, evga, zotac, xpertvision, sapphire.

Again, depends on which card you want to buy.

MSI is good.... But I trust only Asus. Starting from BIOS to add-on features they are the best. They have been in this business longer also.... I think!!! :)

If your mobo is working fine now, and you have a Pentium-D right now which is also working fine, I advice you to be happy with your rig as it is.

You should consider a new board only if you also need a new CPU.

And since Core2 is soon becoming history, stick around for Core i5 and Deneb to arrive.

Current Core i7 motherboards are all X58 chipset and cheapest would cost 14K for Motherboard and 16K for Processor.

So stay with your rig and wait.

By april 2009, AMD Phenom II would have fully entered the market. And by June 2009, Intel Core i5 would arrive. Much better options would come then, which would be cheaper and much more VFM.

PS: whats your current config btw ?

Intel OCer
[sigh] As desibond said it depends on what type of chipset you want...for P35 best is ASUS, P45--MSI, X38--Asus, X48--Asus, X58--I would chose Gigabyte due to bios failure in the MSI boards and they have the cheapest X58 board for VFM (the DS4) even though Asus has arguably the best mobo (Rampage ll extreme) Its like 200$ more than the Gigabyte Extreme which as far as i can tell offers the same and often better features (like dual BIOS)...All the Asus board really out does it in is the creative X-fi sound card.
