1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')

Ans: 3Ds Max, cad, revit, photoshop,blender. constant architectural and graphic design work.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 30-40k max 50k if necessary.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:no

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: windows 7 or 8

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 1tb

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: 21.5in. have zeroed in on Dell S2240L. open to suggestions.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:starting from scratch.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: within this month

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: no. i'll be doing it myself.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: chennai. mostly online. if suggested, from local shops.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: not picky about labels. performance is the priority.

Based on your budget, I'd suggest you to go with the AMD configuration.

AMD FX-6300 or AMD FX-8320.
Asus M5A97 R2.0.
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB).
Samsung 850 EVO 120GB.
WD Blue 1TB.

For GPU, you can go with GTX 770 or K2000, Based on your requirements.

+1 to this, just get M5A97 R2.0 as overclocking will surely help :)

Thanks guys.. I'll start the sourcing on this config asap... and I'm a novice in this so, could you please direct me to some hints on assembling too?
