I have downloaded the firmware update for my samsung s2 sgh 1727 and stored in my laptop.

now what are the available options for upgrading the firmware using this downloaded file?if it is possible how to do it?

What file have you downloaded? Is it a .tar file?

If you want to update your device without any problems then download Samsung kies and use it to update it. Its simple and easy.

if you want to install the firmware you've downloaded then i suggest use Odin.
but for drivers then you will again have to download Samsung kies.

And i don't know how to do that.

if you want to do easy then go with Samsung kies and it will do the rest

use odin and also search for flashing rom instructions on ibtimes. They sometimes provide step by step instructions for flashing.

I guess the best way out for you to update your device is by taking a little help of ODIN to flash the files over to the device.
