Advice on Pc Upgrade (5-10k)

Hi guys,
My first post here :)

I have the following pc

Gtx650ti boost
4gb
1tb seagate+500gb+250Gb hdd
Intel pentium dual core(exact Moden unknown)
3 month old processor costed 3-4k
and a samsung 1920x1080 monitor
Lga 1150 mobo


I use my pc for heavy gaming/multitasking/and for school projects and organizing stuff

Should i go on upgrading processor or something else?

Yes, you should sell that CPU and get an i5-4440 instead and also add another 4GB RAM stick :) The 650ti boost is still competitive.

Which CPU do you have exactly?

Sell that Dual Core processor and get the following:

Intel Core i3 4150 -7500. (snapdeal)
or
Intel Core i5 4440 -11000. (snapdeal)

Rest of the config is good but adding another 4GB RAM is better for future.

I would like to add a word to help in build of PC. Here are some options for you

AMD FX6300 CPU
Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P MOBO

I believe these components are best for gaming and multitasking, based on your budget.

In the end got a amd fx6300 and got a msi mobo from my friend who was selling it
