about operating system installation

i am using windows xp operating system.In that my printer doesnt work very well.I want to install win 98 operating system.But when i start to install it says that u cannot install win 98 after installing WINDOWS XP.
any solution.....

Install XP AND 98 in separate partitions.....keep the MBR FAT32.....then u will get the dual boot option....also first install 98 in u r C:\ and then Xp in D:\..
