^ Ryzen 1400 is barely better than i5 7500 despite have more threads. Ryzen is VFM, but cores are not strong. Octa core competing with i7, Hecta core competing with i5.
Having said that, OP can neither fit i5 nor Ryzen.

In 50k budget, you can easily have a ryzen system with the graphics card, if you are ok with nvidia 1050ti. It is not that great but very good for the types of games/applications you want to run at 1080p.
If you want to wait and get a better graphics card in future, only then go for i5 build. There is one plus point of waiting though, that AMD is on its verge to release their new series of graphics cards (Vega), which most probably would lead to price cuts and more options in the market.

Suggest build minus monitor n gpu... :)
430w is good enough upto GTX 1060/RX 570.
If you'll upgrade your graphic card in few months, you can even go for used graphic card like GT 730 and save some money and use them to get faster chip.

i5 (47k) / Ryzen (50k)
i5 7600 / Ryzen 1600
B250M / B350M
NA / Used GT 730 DDR5

DDR4 8GB
Seasonic S12II 430
Corsair Carbide Spec 01
WD 1TB
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB

For i5 have my eyes on the Msi b250m mortar. How will be it?
Plz suggest good options for b250 n b350.

Thanks all. :)

My search radar almost always stay within ASUS and Gigabyte (and in that order). May be I am biased.
ASUS PRIME B250M PLUS / ASUS PRIME B350 PLUS

tbh cores are fine, ~Broadwell level. Otherwise Ryzen would have been getting "outclassed", not outperformed in productivity benchmarks. Infact, Ryzen octacore competes with Intel's octacore in productivity. For example, if i7-6900K/i7-5960X (octacore) get outperformed by i7-7700K (quadcore) in gaming, the former don't end up becoming weak chips. Basically we can't say "quad core i7 competing with octacore i7".

AMD Ryzen 5 1400 Review

Old games need patches for a brand new micro-architecture, as simple as that. But they won't be getting it.

My suggestion for the OP is to buy Ryzen 5 1600. (6 cores, 12 threads) It's the most value-for-money CPU in the market right now after Pentium G4560 in the low-end.

1400 is clocked too low , so it doesn't come off as massively stronger than 7500 ,.. if you compare it with 7500 ,.. but anybody going with Ryzen is most likely also going with a B350 board and once you overclock it , then the difference becomes huge..

otherwise if you don't include overclocking , then the actual competitor is 1500x ( which is still slightly cheaper than 7500 ) ,
which is 33 % faster in multi threading than i5 7500 and comes close to i7 performance level ..

but , Ryzen 1600 priced so close to 1500x , and massively better bang for buck / performance/price , it is the go to cpu eyes closed if budget is not the problem

At same clock speed, Ryzen is only 6% behind 7th gen Kabylkake
