shredding

Hi Guys! I need a file shredding software with the hepl of which I can permenantly delete unwanted files and folders. The software should also have an option to overwrite all unused space in the disk so that if by chance some files gets deleted normally, it still can be overwritten this way...

i want to know what shredding the recycle bin means???????? what are its advantages or disadvantages?????
