occupies

I have downloaded some movies in the avi format. These files are of the size 700 mb each. When I write these files on a DVD using Nero 7 each file occupies 4.36 gb!! How can I make a DVD which may have 3-4 of such movies?

I just checked te default c:(system drive) on my system and found that a folder(system folder) occupies a whooping 845 MB(!!!) on the disk. Is it safe to delete it?
