goddies

i hav a p3 550 mhz, 192 mb sdram and 40 gb harddisk....which i want to put into good use,,,,,suggest me a good opensource OS( FREE) which is lightweight.... and other lightwieght goddies which go along.... I tried to search...but didnt find appropriate one...( i m pretty bad at searchin...):o
