There is a bad sector formed in my hdd,i am not able to create partition and install OS. Is there a way to remove or rectify it?

How do you think it formed?

i have bought a new samsung hard disk SP 0822N. after some days i noticed that there were bad clusters formed in the drive. i would like toknow how bad clusters are formed. what are the causes. i have got my new hdd replaced since it is under warrenty but the new hdd is also giving the same...

recently my pc shutdown abrubtly...on restarting it scandisk began.. when i logged in my XP a directory such as found.000 was formed in c: drive??? it contained many files...what is that ?shall i delete it ..or is it any use to me??
