Hi, I have a lot of games which I'm currently storing in my external hard disk. But, the number of games is increasing week-by-week. I want to know some methods of compressing these games like the stuff done repacks. I've heard of the LZMA algorithm but couldn't find much content. Any help...

I want to back up my data on external HDD n DVDs. but i want 2 know that sud i compress de data using winrar or 7zip? is it true that compressing data increases de chances of de data gettin damaged? and which software gives de best compression??? thanks in advance
