hi people, am new to this, let me start. i have an old system(intel p4 1.7 128 sdram, pci vga card, onboard ac97 & pci creative sound card). 1st of all onbord ac97 not detected and i hear many noises(only) from onbord sound. on the other hand my creative is getting detected as mm sound controler...

I have a ac97 onboard soundcard. I have heard that through a software configration we can change the line in of the soundcard to line out, so that it supports 2.1 channel sound. Can anyone tell me how to do it? Thanks
