Just bought my first Xiaomi, yes i know many people have had these for ages, but i've just upgraded from a blackberry bold, and wanted to go with a half decent android phone, i can't take a pic as my blackberry phone camera hasn't worked since i dropped it in the sink. Its this model though:

yeah, i've noticed the same thing on some downloads, the problem is they have some good software that you can only get from them, so hopefully there is enough complaints for them to change their policy.
