Please note that to enable amr support you don't need to recompile anything on ubuntu - just use the medibuntu repository which has ffmpeg and mplayer re-compiled with support for amr. Have a look - *www.medibuntu.org/

No, HE DOES NOT have a point. When you just copy data off the dvd and burn it, the BOOT SECTOR OF THE DVD IS NOT COPIED. Either use the method I said, which is bound to work, or use the digit dvd itself.

It certainly will be. Thanks to the Qt developers, they have released OSS version of Qt for Windows and mac, so KDE4 onwards almost all KDE applications will run on windows. There is even a KDE4 windows installer in the works :)

HUH ! Ubuntu MATCHES its release schedule with that of gnome ! It releases new ubuntu version some time after gnome release ! All ubuntu releases have newer version of gnome because that is how it is DESIGNED to be ! So, ofcourse ubuntu feisty will have gnome 2.18 !

True, but I was told in the suse IRC channel that 915resolution does not work in suse because of the RC release of xorg.. By the way, is that true ?

Kalpik: As i already told, since it uses X.org RC, 915resolution does not work with it. Meaning, resolution is an ugly 1024x768 :(
