WD doesn't make any rugged drive. There ASS is good. But quality for external drives is not that good.
Transend have the worst ASS. So, don't buy them. The only option for budget rugged drive is adata hd710. Its supposed to be waterproof as well. I haven't tested that though.
Still I tested...
Avoid transend at all cost. There ASS is the worst. WD have the best ASS but quality wise they aren't as good. External drives should always be rugged. As they are meant to be taken outside, not always in protective covering. AFAIK WD doesn't have any rugged external drive.
After searching a...
Well, I know one thing, that antec vp would be able to sustain and survive much longer than corsair vs and cx series. So, that would be enough for me in the same price point. Also, I would like to add that I have applied for +2year warranty for free as well, which would make it 4yrs on vp550p...
I would just comment on the bold part. Actually, the available reviews for those antec vp shows that they have a very solid output. There ripple management etc are very good. So, I guess that we can give them that benefit for using samaxon(higher volt) cap on the primary as it didn't changed the...
Good review, only the primary cap was mentioned and other part was missed. The thing to note here was that it's samaxon better than capsxcon used in corsair. Also, Its rated at 450 volts instead of 370 or lesser in other psu's.
Higher volt cap from 3rd tier is still better than lower volt cap...
Ok, actually there are two major difference between v1 and v2 that I have been able to get after searching and reading every bit of information that I got my hands on. I will sum that up here.
1. The v2 version is haswell compatiable while v1 is not.
2. The v2 version have 444 watts on 12volt...
Pardon me for continuing this thread again. But my question is related to this psu antec vp550p v2 only. Could you point me to any review for its v2 version where it shows what caps and components it is using as its quite different from v1 version.
I can't really confirm 100% from these images. But, it seems as if your caps have leaked. Busting caps like this is the worst case senario. They usually bulge and go down.
Over the years corsair have degraded there quality. Although there ASS is good. Still, they majorly use capxcon, samaxon...
Ok, clarify about the PSU part then.
And regarding the GPU. IMHO, its always better to sell older components while you can have better price now, if it doesn't have much use.
From personal experience I can tell you must these things just keep on piling up and the resale value just keeps on...
Corsair VS is the lowest you can get. And for longevity you must avoid it.
Either go with seasonic or if you want to save cost by not compromising quality then go for Antec vp550p v2. Beats the hell out of any psu in this range with 45amps on 12volt rail.
You should be able to get that antec...
I was also looking for a PSU. And belive me, after a lot of research I found that inspite of positive reviews corsair vs and cx series are not good enough to last more than 3yrs. The main components that define the age are the capacitors used. Those caps used consists of capxcon and other low...
Take a look at nvidia gtx 960 which is the prefect full hd card. During testing it gave 60fps in all the games. The price is a bit on upper side Rs17-18k but well worth it. Also, it would come down in1-2 months if you can wait.
Secondly, if you want to buy now then a amd r9 270x would serve...
As long as you get warranty from apple. You don't have to listen to the sh** of those sales people. If you are still paranoid then surely give higher price for the same thing.
My suggestion would be to
Get it from flipkart and amazon at lower price. And you won't have to worry about anything else.
Listen, I never said that a PSU doesn't matter. Don't twist my words. I just said that a good ups decreases the chance of failure of a el chepo psu(i also said its not a thumb rule). But it makes the psu last longer as it doesn't have to work to it extremes with uneven voltages etc.
A good...
Well you see, psu reduces the ripple etc-2. The ups basically makes the power output more regulated when it passes through it. As such the psu works better with ups rather than being connected to a direct power source. Specially at places where there is irregular voltages etc.
The psu is not...
Microtek all the way. I have had 3 microtek ups. All 600va. And they have been working fine for 10yrs, 8yrs,7yrs respectively. I had to change the battery once for 2 and twice for one which is used the most though in that period. I don't know what I can ask fore more.
Microtek have awesome...
Hello topgear, if you are still following this thread. I have one more query to make regarding the Ram. I am getting kingston hyperx fury blu 1800 mhz 4gb and 1600mhz module at about the same price. Link to ram:

I just read the experiences and reviews of people and the common consensus was that antec A.S.S was crap.
While seasonic that's handled by tirupati is not the best. But, atleast they replace the psu that you send them at your own cost.
With corsair the A.S.S is supposed to be the best. But, a...
Antec is out of consideration as they have bad A.S.S.
Seasonic eco 500 seems to have been discontinued as it is an old model.
While eco 430 have been released just 4 months back with 36 amps on dual 12volt rail. That's why I am bending towards it. Would that not suit this bulit...
