Hi All,
My existing TV was bought on 09/10/2018, Mi LED TV 4A PRO 123.2 cm (49"inch) at ₹29,999.
A few years back, it was repaired due to vertical lines. Last week onwards, the single horizontal line showed up, and finally more lines covered half of the TV.

Checked with local technicians... He said it can't be repaired. because they already bypassed the lines.

Now pushed to buy a Smart TV. ASAP.

1. Budget?

Below 40K...If any will extend

2. Display type and size?

LED or OLED OR QLED
55" inch

3. What will the TV/monitor be used for primarily?

Still now streaming and downloaded movies in 1080p format only.

Nowadays, downloaded format content is like that, mostly 2160p, X265, 10-bit, True HD Atmos, and UHD.

So, I need to play above all formats without any restrictions.

4. Types and number of ports required?
Not specific....Audio output, wifi enabled for streaming, usb for downloaded content

5. Preferred choice of brand?

MI other than any ok

6. Any TV/monitor in consideration?

MI (Dealer and Service centre near me)

7. Any other info that you want to share.

Need Futristic...Long Life Span...Good After Sales Service

If your preference is Samsung or Sony then check similar models from 2023/24. Samsung & LG are similarly priced where as Sony is premium priced.
All are flipkart prices.

Get cheapest Samsung/LG 55" 4K, enough for most. Extend budget for Sony X74L (46k on sales) for slightly better colour tuning.

I bought 2 year extra AMC from LG for my C3 48" for 13-14k as well, not sure why its so expensive for a budget TV.

Any good one in MI?

Which panel has a good life span for LED, OLED, or QLED?
There are just 2 fundamental types, LCDs or OLEDs. LCDs will last better in general but I know people who have had OLED TVs for 5+ years without burn in. If you have the money, OLED is generally the best type of panel as good miniLED LCDs are equally expensive (but miniLEDs have higher peak brightness, so better for bright rooms).

Why consider Mi or Hisense options under 35k when you have the budget for Samsung/LG? Budget QLEDs from these brands are not noticeably better, Samsung & LG generally has better picture tuning than all others, Sony is considered the best.

If you want a TV for playing video games, can consider 120Hz TVs from Hisense.

One of my friends is facing issues with LG... More than a year.

This is my third TV within 10 years...More frustrated...Can't predict the life span of TV.

My suggestion would be if like the MI service then stick to the brand. They are also feature rich under same price segment. For the formats you mentioned, you need to take the video file to showroom and make sure it plays the content as expected.

For LG, they release model every year i think and naming goes like
UPxxxx - 2021, UQ, UR, UTxxxx - 2024.
7550 or 7500 i think will only have minor change, could be major too, you need to check this since i don't know.

Advice: Unfortunately that is the life for general electronic components nowadays :( Planned obsolescence is a real thing and well known now, though not proved :)
That is why there is no point in extending the budget by huge margin if you don't have the heart to spend same amount again every 5 or so years.
