Hello all,

What is the best course of action? My Budget is Strictly limited to 40k. Which chipset to go for? AM4 or AM5 or LGA 1700? Depending on the chipset/RAM the above specified Combos are coming for ranging between 33k (Intel 12400 Combo) to 35k (Intel 1440 Combo) 38k (AMD i7 5700X3D Combo) to 40k (AMD i5 7600 Combo). Because my present AM4 chipset is giving several errors causing BSODs, Restarts & Freezes. Should I go with Intel LGA 1700 based 12400 or 14400 processors because I am afraid of getting the same above errors due to AMD platform but I don't know about AM5 platform errors. So you have to tell me whether AM5 platform is working without getting any errors or not like the above ones specified in my AM4 setup. I intend to use these parts purchased now for another 4-5 years minimum. I am also thinking of changing my present CPU cooler since it does not have a AM5 Bracket. Can we overclock all above specified processors & underclock them as well? Does the above specified motherboards which have only 2 RAM slots enough for Gaming for at least 3 hours daily along with browsing or watching HD movies? All parts will be purchased online from sellers mentioned in pcpricetracker.in. Please clarify my doubts. Sorry for a lengthy questionnaire. Thanks.

You can build a bare minimum R5 7600 + 32GB RAM + B650M mobo under 40k, 45k for something better. R7 5700X3D has similar gaming performance to R5 7600, so no point in AM4 (if your mobo was a working B550, would have been a different case).

This has a better mobo than the 11k options, so better VRMs & a 3rd M.2 slot as major benefits. The better VRM can handle even the successor of 9800X3D easily.

@bssunilreddy Use your current set up!
When I check the Event Viewer, it says
SCEP Certificate enrollment initialization for Local system via *amd-keyid-907d65e9b562315997dd5ad086b2b7598957b92c.microsoftaik.azure.net/templates/Aik/scep failed:

GetCACaps

Method: GET(109ms)
Stage: GetCACaps
The server name or address could not be resolved 0x80072ee7 (WinHttp: 12007 ERROR_WINHTTP_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED)

While I scoured the internet for a solution for the past 4 months it says a it's because of AMDfTPM which either AMD or Microsoft should have given a driver update.

Since AM4 is a older platform they stopped thinking about this problem.

I saw people asking for solution in reddit, MS forum & Steam forum regarding their 5600, 3800, 5900 processors & for B450,B550,X570 motherboards as well. But never saw anybody asking for AM5 or LGA 1700 platforms same problem arising.

Thats why I was asking for suggestions regarding change of platforms.

I formatted my SSD 4-5 times until now and clean installed Windows 10 & 11 twice already but still I am getting the same error when I check Event Viewer after my PC restarts after a BSOD while browsing or playing games. It does not matter.

I already re-pasted my processor and re-connected all my cables and removed/re-connected my NVME while I was replacing my Antec EAG Pro Gold 750w PSU with Cooler Master MWE Bronze 750w V3.

I already tried every kind of solution offered in reddit or MS forums but no result.

I am not a gamer, so don’t know much about your issue! I also don’t know what solutions you have tried from other forums/sites, but I guess some games like Valorant require secure boot and TPM on Win11, but do the games that you play need TPM? If not and if you don’t use BitLocker (on system drive) , then use Rufus to create a UEFI bootable USB installer for Win11 that skips Secure Boot, 4 GB RAM & TPM checks and proceeds with Win 11 install even if they are not met. That’s what I have done. Win 11 at my end runs without secure boot and TPM (I have disabled both in the Firmware though they are available on my system)

I have AM4 CPU and 550M board but never faced any such issue. I am on Win 11 22H2 (updates perpetually disabled) for quite some time. Also I have never updated any of the drivers or firmware(BIOS).

Of course you can always go for a new hardware but if TPM is not a must consider trying out Rufus’s Win 11 install disabling secure boot and TPM and observe for a few days if it still crashes.

I also tried disabling TPM & Secure Boot and while these two are disabled Defender always gives pop ups on Core isolation. But I ignored it as well. Even then Cyberpunk 2077 is crashing to desktop when its graphics settings are set on defaults. Sometimes gives me a BSOD & restarts. Maybe I think because of the basic A520 mobo which does not have any vrm heatsinks. So was thinking of changing to any B550 Mobo but I was in a dilemma as to change the CPU (5700x3d), Mobo (B550M wifi), RAM (32GB 3600Mhz) Now and then change only GPU (RTX4070 Ti 16GB) later on after 6-8 months and keep these for another 4-5 years. But does this change I specified above bring stableness to my setup I am worried. So asked here.

My RAM ran prime95 without any errors though in bios if I need enable XMP it only shows 3600mhz only in profile 1 no profile 2 is there shown as an option. I bought this G.Skill SniperX 2x8GB(3600Mhz) RAM in 2019 but did not upgrade although I bought the exact same set of 2 pieces of RAM but my mobo did not work if I use 4 RAM pieces so again I sold them.

When BSOD issues are unable to be solved... I send my motherboard, MSI B450, to the service center. They send it to the head office in Delhi... They do all benchtest programs. They send results with no issues in Motherboard.

After that, I tested with different RAM and found the existing RAM was faulty...Changed under replacement warranty.

I am thinking of getting a used B550M wifi Mobo for cheap while upgrading the RAM also to 32GB. Maybe change the processor to 5700x3d as well. I think these will serve me well for another 4 years or so.
My present mobo is A520M one which does not have any VRM heatsinks and no PBO options as well in the bios, it is a very bare bores mobo bought for 6k I think from CTC,HYd 2 years ago.

No

IMO just pay bit extra for AM5 build with R5 7600. After 3-4 years you can change just CPU can continue using the mobo & RAM.
