Need a mobo replacement

I'm running a Ryzen 3 2200G on a Asus Prime A320M-K mobo with 2x Corsair 8GB DDR4-2400 UDIMM RAM. The rest of the system is OK: PSU (Corsair VS450), Samsung Evo SSD, HDD, cabinet, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Webcam, etc.

Mobo has failed. Please suggest replacement. Thanks in advance.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run?
Ans: No games. Some Handbrake / video editing, google earth / GIS would seem to be the maximum load. Chrome also takes up tons of CPU as I have zillions of tabs.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 5k?

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 11

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: NA - have enough

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: No, I'm happy with my monitor.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: As much as possible. Avoid waste.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Now

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Yes, have built this desktop

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Online

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Would like lots of USB ports. I'd like something solid that will last. Thanks in advance

Thanks @omega44-xt.
Does it support 2200G? Mfg website doesn't list it, but online people seem to have had success.

Are there people online who failed?

I think B550 mobos support all AM4 Ryzen CPUs. I heard that some older mobos like B350 & B450 drop support for 1st gen Ryzen CPUs when BIOS is updated to support Ryzen 5000 series.

Maybe look for B450 instead:

The specifications of CPU compatibility with motherboard are always specific. If the CPU is not listed, usually it’s not supported. If a CPU is supported from a specific BIOS version, that’s clearly stated e.g. since BIOS Rev 3.C and like that. If a BIOS is a Bridge BIOS or a non-reversible update that’s clearly stated and like that.

However sometimes for Memory Compatibility they put a disclaimer that due to a large number of models in the market, every model is not tested.

Check this AMD article online. Carefully check the Chipsets and what CPU series do they support and don’t

That's weird. Going by this, even B450 doesn't support 2200G. I don't know why it says like that, I am using B450 with 2200G and it does support.

Kudos to OP for checking CPU support. If that was me, I don't know if that thought would've crossed my mind.

Up to my knowledge, B450 do support all CPU/APU from 2000 series. New BIOS dropped support for 1000 series and Bristol Ridge CPUs to accommodate 5000 series.

Back when new AM4 CPU launched, we suggest to check for sticker that says 3000/5000 ready. Looks like now we need a "2000 series ready" sticker ;)
