INR 25-35k

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?
  • Thin and Light; 12" - 14" screen
  • Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen

3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?
This will be used by my father for his office work, documentation, web browsing and maybe to watch movies sometimes.
He has been using Dell N5110 since January 2012 lol.
No gaming at all.

5) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eying for ?
At least recent 4c/8t processor, 8/16 GB DDR4/5 ram (upgradable to 16 if 8 is the stock), 512 GB nvme ssd, 2 USB 3.2 ports (avoid 2.0 please). If its running on Ryzen APUs, option to reduce VRAM allocation in bios, HDMI out
Backlit keyboard would be good to have

  • Battery back up ( normal (3-4hrs) / extended (5-7hrs) ): Whatever highest possible I can get without compromising on the core hardware

This vivobook doesn't have option to upgrade memory. Otherwise it is good. Also, you cannot change the VRAM on this. I think this is standard for all AMD laptops at this price range.

Except soldered RAM, that Vivobook looks good honestly. Many budget laptops have TN panel though, even at 40-45k.

am also looking for something similar.
the description of this vivobook says max memory supported is 16gb. will adding another 8 gb work?
