Laptop for development around 50k

Need to buy laptop as soon as tomorrow. Before sale ends.

1) What is your budget? (INR or USD)
50k. Plus 5k wiggle room.

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?

Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen OR
Desktop Replacement; 17"+ screen


3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?
Web development. And other development related tasks. And multimedia usage.

5) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eying for ?
Latest processor. Maybe AMD because of Intel issues.

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like: none
b. Dislike: maybe chinese brands.


6) Anything else you would like to say?
Screen resolution: 1080p (Full HD)
Battery back up: as good as it can get
Purchase place: Online. As want to make EMI

Notes: need upgradable RAM. So that can upgrade to 32 GB RAM.

Last I checked, it had TN panel & lacked backlit KB.

ThinkPads are well built as well.

For TN panel 15", get this instead:

Is there any similar model but with IPS Panel under 80K? But with good build.

At least you get a better CPU & save money.

This is good deal with the CPU. However the RAM seems to be upgradable only to 16 GB as mentioned on product page specification.
But the storage is upgradable to 1 TB.

One thing to mention is that the company will reimburse the laptop upto 50k. That is why I mentioned the budget of 50K with 5K as buffer.
So if we can find a better model with upgradable RAM and storage, it would be great!

Is there any similar model but with IPS Panel under 80K? But with good build.

ThinkPad E14 will remain my top pick even if you are coding, the portability helps. Use it with monitor if it will be used extensively at home.

Not sure why the ThinkBook says 16GB as max supported but it should work with 32GB or more, search online.
