Name a few games that you still play that were released many years ago and are still played by you. Mine are Half Life(WMOD version), Resident Evil 2 and GTA 2(Lovely one :D)

GTA SA, played it for 3 years, SAMP(Multiplayer). It is still my fav. game. Makes me cry that I cannot play it anymore! My freakin old mobo burnt up coz I disabled the Temperature Alarm and overclocked my processor, boom, It didn't start...What a crap.

Well, going with AMD is a better option, btw, whats your budget? You can buy an 8 core processor or 12 core processor(both are server processors btw.). If your current interface is LGA, then go with Intel but if AM then go with AMD. AMD's a cheaper yet faster option.

Some simple steps:- 1.Buy a good water cooler 2.Get your comp into an Air Conditioned Room(Not necessary) 3.If you can control your Fan, increase it's speed. But as the people said,cleaning your comp and applying thermal paste is the best option.
