However, all the excessive heat that is generated is going to affect the battery in the long run(say after 2 years).
Hence what I would suggest is to use it cleverly only when necessary. Most of the times you can use normal charging, even that will charge up...
From what you described above, the heating issue is most probably caused due to "Fast charging" enabled.
I own a Note 4, and I have faced this. "Fast charging" is nothing but excessive charge(2A) that is used to charge up the battery quickly than your normal charger(1.67A).
