BSNL FTTH - kinda nice, 100mbps 750gb plan. Latency is crap though.

    Camera for multipurpose use

Ricoh GR II | Ricoh India Yes it is old. Yes the new version is coming soon and yes it is not good at all for vlogging. But it is one camera which he can take pretty much anywhere and the lens is good (best?) for compact camera. Otherwise Sony RX100 III is the best bet.

Upgrade advise : Sony NEX 6 to a6500 (APSC) or A7MIII (full frame)

Hmmm....a Sony A7 mark 2 user here. IMO, don't really go into the lens mount debate. I'm using Sony lenses, specially the awesome 85/1.8 and it is just too good for the price. Most of the Sigma lenses are also available for E-mount now. There is Tokina (and Tamron) with excellent lenses....and...

So spring is finally here, a bit late though:. This is 1.8 wide open, and I'm quite happy with the sharpness, a bit soft but still quite good for a standard Sony prime: _DSC0651 by Siddharth Tomar, on Flickr

I have. I can thank the all mighty thesis semester for that :) Edit: I took this pic to see the image stabilization capabilities of Sony IBIS, and I was impressed (considering that my hands were shaking in cold). _DSC0486 by Siddharth Tomar, on Flickr

*correction - for the first time buyer. Nikon and Canon camp will stick to their existing system because of lenses. First time buyers into full frame can choose E-mount system over others, given how other companies are launching FE lenses.

To be honest...at the price which Sony is selling A7 mark 3, I guess it's time to forget about any other fullframe DSLR, Canon or otherwise. Just look at the speed, dynamic range, autofocus and what not. To be honest, the only thing going for traditional DSLRs is the bulk, which otherwise is...

My suggestions: Go for Nikon body. Trust me, you wouldn't like the performance of Nikon lenses on Sony with adapter. Wait for a while and you can probably go for something like D610/D750. I'm pretty sure that Nikon will drop the prices after their mirrorless release.

But you will loose your existing lenses even with Nikon fullframe: crop mode just doesn't cut it.

EVFs are better and always will be better than optical viewfinders. They are truly "what you see is what you get" with only one drawback in current generation: battery life. OVFs are remnant of an era where we could not simply put a small screen in front of eye. Same is with DSLRs - the mirror...

Well, then you would need to buy an expensive full frame like A7Sii or A7rii, because A7ii has similar noise characteristics as A6000 (probably because of same sensor tech).
