X-230 shines in movies and games, and has a slightly better bass response. However ATP3 has a better mid-range. I would recommend the logitech

There's Nothing you can do for this problem! Its a problem with almost all Sony DVD writers. The cd/dvd recognition takes almost 15 secs. Lets hope Sony solves this with a firmware upgrade in the future.

You are advising him not to buy a 256 MB 6600GT... and asking him to buy the 256 MB 6600 non-GT!? >128 memory is only fruitful with cards more powerful than the 66GT...... get a 6600 plain 128 MB (better if u get the one with DDR2...overclocks almost to GT levels :) )

good mobo..I got the SLI platinum (Neo4 platinum) advantages: i) onboard Creative SB Live 7.1! audio ii) SLI iii) high overclockability disadvantages: i) High Price ii) Can't think of anything else! The K8N diamond has extra sata ports/ dual gigabit ethernet / more usb than the Neo4...

My MSI K8N SLI platinum mobo's chipset fan suddenly stopped working :cry: :cry: Cant go to lamington road (coz i m in hyd), so will have to choose among watever is available here. Any recommendations for a decent air cooler would be welcome! (also I plan to overclock once I buy it!) Thanks

@digitized .... the 7600 GT will suffer from similar problems as the 6600GT, i.e. High resolution Gaming. 128bit memory interface really doesnt allow u to go beyond 1280*1024 @ AA/AF. the 6800GS on the other hand should do quite well in the eye-candy modes, even if it just lags behind the...

i wud say : i) Never buy cards with 64-BIT memory interface ii) Do Not buy nvidia cards with "TurboCache" and ATI cards with "HyperMemory"

@sidewinder SB live 7.1 costs arnd 1900, audigy 2 arnd 4k..not sure abt rest! I was looking to buy a LCD monitor and a good one at that! Anyone knows prices of the samsung 173p plus / 770p / 940B models?
