Is it worth getting the 5000+ paying 1.5k more? or should i settle with 4800+? is the performance diff worth 1.5k?
the difference between amd x2 4800 and amd x2 5000 is only 100 mhz and the price difference is 1.5k......100 mhz does not make a difference watsover...

i also bought my pc 20 days back...i had the same dilema as urs...infact i had even ordered my dealer to give me amd x2 5200 and i told the dealer that the purchase would be subject to 65w tdp and not 89w tdp ...but as the 65w tdp was not available i had to go for amd x2 4800 as buying x2 5000...
amd x2 4800 - rs. 6300
asus m2a-vm hdmi- rs. 5000....without hdmi rs. 4000
160gb hard disk- rs. 2200
1gb ddr2 ram- rs. 2100
tihs falls under 15k....if u dont want ram it will be 2000 rs. lesser...the m2a-vm has the best integrated graphics of all motherboards available
for ur budget go for amd machine because its real value for money...and u can hope that the quad cores of amd are better priced when dey release in christmas...i m not suggesting u intel because 945 motherboards suck...its better u go for amd ...much much better value for money...
