I don't think so, as till now Windows 10 is in testing phase, thats why Microsoft offers it free. After sometimes It'll be available after purchasing it. Nothing is free in this world.
Update your apps whenever its required. Don't over stuff your phone memory with number of apps and picture gallery. Still if the app crashes then uninstall the application and install it again.
Most probably the notification of phone as well as Whats up is not enabled, I was also getting the same problem, but after working some times on setting and notification part It was solved.
