Both Creative T6160 & Logitech Z506 are good. Have a demo and then take a decision for yourself. One suggestion...why go for 5.1 when you can have descent 2.1 setup options within that budget? You live in hostel and setting up 5.1 system could be an issue. There would be occasional gatherings...

Z906 boasts 500W RMS amp whereas Sony DZ640K disguises its amp rating with 1000W output. In reality, its nowhere near 500W RMS. Performance wise, Z906 has better thump & surround experience.

I had Logitech Z5500 4 years ago. After its receiver gone dead, i got Z906 as replacement. Since then, its been serving me happily. I can vouch for its performance. As for your query between Edifier & F&D, go for Edifier!

I've been using Windows 7 hibernate feature for a long time. One day, by mistake i disabled hibernate feature from the command prompt. I've tried many work-around to re-enable it, but none of them worked. Now i am stuck with shutting down my machine, each and every time there is power cut off...

I'd say go with Galaxy R. Though, it has 8GB of internal storage & LCD screen in comparison to 16GB and AMOLED screen of Galaxy Advance. With MicroHDMI video out, 1GB RAM & bigger screen size Galaxy R should make a good choice.

720p is not full HD mate. Its just HD. @topic, Viewing distance comes into the play when opting for 720p and 1080p models. However, with the 32" size and the viewing distance of 6-8 ft the difference isn't that prominent. Hence, if budget is a constraint for you then opt for 720p model else...

Very true. But then none of Z906 & Z5500 are meant for music listening. In fact none of multi channel speakers are! Both Z906/Z5500 have gr8 frequency range for watching movies and are capable of reproducing most of the effects within. As for "deep" bass / "boom-iness" all Z5500/Z906 owners...
