that means yr harddisk has some serious problems... it never makes a loud noise unless an untill something is scratching the magnetic plate... do not connect them as it will be really difficult to recove rthe data if the hdd is phyiscally damamged
hellomotto ,
Go for the S2 IS ... its the Best in its range... S3 IS is also out (the major difference is S3 IS is the 6 MP)
I got the S2 IS around 3 months back.... and i m in love with it.... the quality is superb man.... 12 X of optical zoom, the lense and ....
the only thing i found...
hay man... even i have the preshottt (prescott)
i was facing the same problem... with the intel stock cooler.. i changed it to ThermalTake big typhoon..
now my temp never cross 60 even while playing game and my machine is up 24 X 7 :)
the big typhoon costed me around 3K.. (dont remember...
I will not agree with wizrulz about the AGP Graphics card as the NVidia just launched the 7800GS for the AGP8X
more info at *www.tomshardware.com/2006/02/13/nvidias_geforce_7800gs_becomes_a_better_buy/
in india there is not much of Game Developement work is done... i mean there are very few of them..
but call center YES... there is a microsoft dedicated call center Just for microsoft games :)
one of my friends friend is into it 16K+ Sal and all the latest games with a NVidia 7800 ...
U mean after partitioning / using the 160GB HDD. its gettign detected as 151 or 150 GB ??? then its normal
i have 120GB but if i calculate the total space i m getting is only 111 GB
this is because the computers calculate 1kB = 1024B , 1MB = 1024KB and 1G = 1024MB... but manufacuturer...
make yr front Fan as intake... it must be at the lower side... hence it will able to take the cool air in... also the side fan (Which i think will be near to yr AGP / PCIe slot.. make that also as input....
and the 2 fans on the back ( +1 of the PSU) will blow the air out
so u will have a...
EeshDewan.. have u tried wht "invisible" had told u to do so.. even i have a prescott 3.0GHz... even that used to heat up ... but proper vantilation (the blades of my cooler were covere with thick layer of dust) did solved the problem
finally i changed the heatsink only for the noise problem...
it will definatly cool down to some extent.. but finaly whether to change the Cooler depends on the amoung heat generaetd.
by using good compund. u will able to use the Heatsink completly.. but mine was different case.. the fan on stock intel heatsink use to rotate at almost 4000rpm and it use...
hotdogXP... our processor are not in direct contact with the heatsink... due to some or other reason there is always some gap...
the job of thermal compound is to fill this gap.. (every one know this)..
now its simple thermal physics... Air is very bad conductor of heat.... so u have to fill...
U can also use the Seatools (from segate)... there are several other tools are available for the same..
they either do the 0 fill or mark that sector as bad... by which the OS does not access them for Read or write
