Thanks Bssunil for sharing the vid...so both are pritty much the same; however the i7 k preferred for overclocking... I think I'll go with that. Apologies but now that I have decided to go with the overclocking specs...I'm updating the OP and the requirements specified initially.

I'm thinking I'll go for the overclocking option to be able to keep my rig future proof as suggested by DK_WD Was wondering if the i7 4790k is a better bet than the Xeon E3 ? Might also go with a z97 mobo !!! What do you suggest ??
