I saw a few LCD monitors at Nehru Place the other day. but the colors in the samsung monitors looked kind of washed out. The viewsonic ones were good but costly. :(

@r4gs - your comment stopped me short. the 17" CRT mentioned was Rs. 4600. Do we get good quality tfts in that price? I assumed they cost about 8000 minimum. I hear they are good at power consumption. In that case even a 15" widescreen tft would be a good replacement for a 17" CRT. is it really...

do i need to get the 8600 GT? Doesn't the board have an onboard VGA? If so could I not get a 17" monitor if i increase the budget by about 2k?
