how to Recover data from a crashed HDD my 40GB westren digital hard disk crashed...how to recover data from it. i am unable to format it or boot through it. slight sound is coming from it...i tried to detect it by connecting it as slave in my friend system but it dint detect...plz help thanku...

my mother board model is : INTEL D915GVWB/D910GLDW presently my RAM is : 256MB PC 266 HYNIX (this is writen on the RAM) which type (DDR1 0r 2.....) of RAM will my mother board support and can i use the 512MB RAM 333 or 400 simultaneously with my present RAM...plz tell in detail... thanku...

Hi, I want to upgrade my 40GB HDD to a 250GB HDD. Currently my RAM is a 256MB chip (Model: Hynix PC266). How much additional RAM is required for proper operation of the HDD ? And also are there any restrictions on the type of RAM and speed (like 533MHz...). Please advice me Thanks :p
